Game 2: Ft Myers Cobras vs Manasota Stars Recap

The game overall.

The Cobras were on defense first. Which play an exceptional game all night against the Outlaws offense. The offense, which had a total of 182 yards, played better than the previous week. The running game improved some, lead by Quarterback Anthony Dixon who ran 10 times for 56 yards. But the passing game struggled trough out the game. Dixon completed 6 of 15 for 61 yards. A beautiful, amazing, spectacular catch was made by Austin Smith to put us in scoring position, which we failed to make the field goal.
The game was a very frustrating game for both teams. The officiating team was horrible, making several bad calls, more so towards the Cobras then to the home team (Outlaws).
The Cobra defense was very stingy; not allowing pass to bet completed and put the QB in distress. The defense was lead by Mike Hill who had six tackles three QB hurries and three sacks.
The team, as a whole, needs to improve in several areas, particularly on offense. The offense has been held to 6 point in the last 2 games. We will be working hard this week to recover from the last two games. We will face the Rivera Beach Panthers this coming Saturday (Feb. 24) on our home field, the Panthers are coming from their first win of the season against the Jacksonville Marshalls.
